The soybean checkoff launched a new biotechnology page late last year within the USB Web site, developed as a source for reference materials and research on agricultural biotechnology. Containing seven topic areas - for example, environmental, economic, animal agriculture, food security and safety - the site serves as a clearinghouse for biotech information for domestic and international users with many documents translated into various languages. Biotech revolutionized U.S. soybean production and remains a key component for U.S. farmers to enable them to continue to produce a sustainable supply of food, feed and fuel for domestic and global customers. The soybean checkoff understands the importance of facilitating a better understanding of biotechnology and its role in advancing soybean production to help move the entire soybean industry forward.
